These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of our website rentgopattaya.com (the “Website”) and the car rental services provided by RentGo Pattaya. By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your rental.
1. General Information
- 1.1. RentGo Pattaya is a local-focused car rental provider based in Pattaya, Thailand, working in cooperation with selected local partners.
- 1.2. All bookings are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation by our staff or our partners.
- 1.3. By using our services, you confirm that you meet the driver and age requirements set out in these Terms and in your rental agreement.
2. Booking and Payment
- 2.1. Reservations can be made via our Website, email, phone, or messaging apps (such as WhatsApp or Line) indicated in your booking.
- 2.2. We follow the concept “Car Rental Pattaya No Credit Card, Low deposit” for many offers. Payment can often be made by debit card or cash on arrival; if a credit card is required, this will be clearly stated in the offer.
- 2.3. Prices generally include local taxes, a standard mileage allowance, and basic insurance as required by Thai law, unless otherwise stated.
- 2.4. Optional extras (child seat, GPS, additional driver, extended cover, etc.) may be added at an extra daily cost.
3. Driver Requirements
- 3.1. Drivers must usually be at least 21–23 years old (some vehicle categories may require a minimum age of 25).
- 3.2. A valid driving licence must be presented at pickup. Depending on your country of residence, an International Driving Permit (IDP) may be required under Thai regulations.
- 3.3. Drivers must have held a licence for at least 1–3 years, depending on the vehicle category and partner policy.
- 3.4. Additional drivers must be declared at the time of booking or at pickup and may be subject to a daily fee.
4. Insurance and Liability
- 4.1. All rentals include basic third-party liability insurance in accordance with Thai law.
- 4.2. Full cover or excess reduction insurance may be purchased to reduce your financial responsibility for damages, subject to the terms of the policy.
- 4.3. Insurance does not cover negligence, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, use on prohibited or unpaved roads, racing, or driving by unauthorised persons.
- 4.4. Damage to tyres, wheels, glass, interior, roof, or the underbody may not be included in standard coverage; please check the details when booking and at pickup.
5. Vehicle Use
- 5.1. Vehicles may only be used within Thailand and in accordance with Thai traffic laws, unless explicitly authorised in writing.
- 5.2. Vehicles must not be used off-road or on unsafe, unpaved, or prohibited roads.
- 5.3. Smoking and carrying pets inside the vehicle is only allowed if agreed in advance and may result in additional cleaning fees.
- 5.4. The renter is responsible for any fines, penalties, parking tickets, tolls, or towing fees incurred during the rental period.
6. Fuel and Mileage
- 6.1. Our standard fuel policy is “same-to-same” (return with the same fuel level as received), unless another policy is specified in the rental agreement.
- 6.2. Vehicles may include unlimited mileage or a specific mileage allowance. Any excess mileage may be charged separately according to the rental agreement.
7. Pickup and Return
- 7.1. Pickup and return locations may include hotels and condos in Pattaya, Jomtien and nearby areas, as well as agreed meeting points or airports such as U-Tapao, where offered.
- 7.2. Vehicles must be returned at the agreed date, time, and place. Late returns may incur additional charges.
- 7.3. The renter must return the vehicle in the same condition as received, subject to normal wear and tear.
8. Cancellations and Modifications
- 8.1. Unless stated otherwise in your offer, cancellations made at least 48 hours before pickup are generally free of charge.
- 8.2. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee, up to the amount of the first rental day or more, depending on the partner’s policy.
- 8.3. Modifications (vehicle type, dates, extras, pickup/return location) are subject to availability and may affect the rental rate.
9. Responsibility and Limitations
- 9.1. RentGo Pattaya is not liable for indirect losses, missed flights, accommodation costs, or other travel disruptions caused by accidents, delays, traffic, weather, or vehicle issues beyond our reasonable control.
- 9.2. Roadside assistance is provided by us or our partners. In case of accident or breakdown, you must contact the emergency number provided in your rental documents immediately.
